Tree Spring Morning

My work is inspired by fractal patterns found in nature.

I experiment with materials to create both perceived and physical depth in my work. I am fascinated with how natural forms like tree branches or the movement of water repeat in beautiful ways.

Combining carving techniques with acrylic media allows me to incorporate the natural wood grain patterns in my compositions as well as build up complex textures through using multiple layers of colour and transparent media.
